Intel Graphics Card Update Drivers
How to update my Intel video card driver in Ubuntu 9.10?

Hi, I’m trying to use Google sketch up under WINE, following instructions here but when i started it it told me “sketchup was unable to initialise openGL ! Please make sure you have installed the correct drivers for your graphics card. error choosepixelformat failed.” how do i update my video card.

I checked, and i have dri capabilities.
When I ran lspci, the line referring to my video card read “00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09)”

I don’t think the problem lies with the drivers in Ubuntu, but with configuring WINE to support OpenGL. Here is some documentation on the subject: http://www.winehq.org/docs/winedev-guide/opengl

For the future, you’ll get better support and answers by posting either to the Ubuntu forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/

Or the WINE forums: http://forum.winehq.org/
