Social Media Trends

Are bars and drinking really that fun?
Hey I’m asian so I get that asian flush, therefore I don’t drink. I just can’t. So usually when I go with friends or colleagues to the bar, I don’t really find it that fun. I would MUCH rather stay at home and play Twister or something! I also find that a lot of people fake their enthusiasm and drunken state at bars. Are my sober eyes and ears being too judgemental? Do I have to be intoxicated to “get it”?
On the rare occasion that I do decide to drink… how come I am not ecstatic when there’s a round of shots? Everyone’s all “Woo! Shots!
” or “Yah! Another pitcher!” I really don’t get it!
Is the bar scene a social trend (greatly influenced by media)?
Hello,Yes I do believe you’re correct about the media over-exaggerating it’s importance(you know why they do it dnt you? ..trying to sell more alcohol for their sponsors).Sometimes when people do ‘drink and get drunk’ they usually do things that they later regret ,but tht doesn’t deter some from continuing to do so though . Well I guess my eyes are somewhat judgmental also so you’re not in tht boat alone(lol)
